Cookies and trackers
PROMETEO uses essential technical cookies to function and, with your explicit consent, may enable analytics cookies and trackers. No marketing trackers are active in the current version of the Platform; the relevant consent bucket is in place for the future.
Categories
1. Essential (always on)
Required for authentication, autosave of the questionnaire, abuse prevention (rate limiting), and basic application functionality. The Platform cannot deliver the service without these cookies; they do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive. Includes: MSAL session tokens, HTTP-only security identifiers.
2. Analytics (opt-in)
Aggregate measurement of Platform usage — pages visited, features used, response times — to identify usability issues and prioritise product improvements. No analytics providers are currently installed. When introduced (e.g. self-hosted PostHog in the EU), they will only be activated after the user has consented in the banner.
3. Marketing (opt-in, not active)
Trackers measuring the effectiveness of targeted campaigns or remarketing. Not active in the current version of the Platform. The bucket is in place in the consent banner for future use.
Managing consent
On the first visit a banner offers:
- Accept all — enable every non-essential bucket.
- Reject non-essential — keep only the technical cookies.
- Customize — individual toggles for analytics and marketing.
The choice is stored in your browser and only re-prompts when the category list changes. An anonymous copy of the choice is sent to our servers for audit and disclosure purposes (see the Privacy policy).
Withdrawing consent
You may change your choice at any time by clearing browser cookies (specifically the prometeo.consent.v1 key in localStorage); on the next visit the banner will reappear.
